Here's a quick and fun breathing exercise, because who doesn't like blowing out candles?!
(Real candles optional, though.)
Interlace your fingers together and point just your index fingers up.
Take a deep inhale and exhale, imagine you're blowing out a candle. Repeat 2 times.
Now try with real candles.
And for a final challenge, keep the mouth closed and inhale and exhale deeply.
You should feel more relaxed afterwards.
Sometimes it's difficult to bring awareness of breath to children, so this exercise helps them see and feel what their breath does.
